i have been a fan of foster the people for a while now but other than their performance on SNL, i had never actually seen a live performance by them. unfortunately i wasn't present for their bonnaroo performance but i did get to experience through the live stream online. it was amazing! if i had to say something about foster the people's live performance is this: "they do NOT bullsh*t us!" what you hear on their record is what you get....except better.
mark foster is ridiculously talented vocally & as a musician. he played guitar, keyboard, synth, percussion...he danced, he sang, he ran into the crowd. yes. i respect him even MORE now. ALSO he is possibly the only man on this planet who can pull off a full on white outfit. hahaha!
they performed all of the song's off their first album "torches" plus "broken jaw" & "love" which are both on special editions of the same album.
i really don't have much more to say because their performance was ridiculously good. i think all i can say is check them out on their last shows for the "torches" album...they are currently on tour. foster the people puts on a very unique, very "foster the people" show. here are a few screen caps of the performance!
even their stage setup was amazing right? loved the cartoon buildings in the back! they changed colors throughout their set to fit the songs. this was for "i would do anything for you"...notice the hearts. :)
xo!
